NO NEW SNOW FOR 6 DAYS
MID MOUNTIAN BASE DEPTH AT LOBO 23.2"
Good morning skiers and snowboarders, this is Mario with your SnoFax update for Tuesday, December 3rd, 2024. Another day of fun under the sun, with warmer temps lies ahead of us. We can expect our snow to soften up as the day goes on, making for smooth carvable groomers. Skiing of off the Tram yesterday even softened up as well, just be mindful of the rocks higher up. Currently temps are only slightly above freezing mid mountain, so we can expect things to be a bit firm this morning before the sun starts to heat up our leftovers.
WIND AND TEMPS: Today's temps are similar to yesterday, maybe warmer, ranging from 28°F to 41°F with with mid-mountain temps in the 30's, and winds are still calm and out of the West at 10-15mph, gusting to 30 mph at the summit.
FORECAST UPDATE: Nothing new to report on for the forecastable future, it looks like we can hope for some heavenly refreshments this weekend. For now, we can hope that these warmer temps help solidify our base, in a way that creates a firm buffer between our edges and the rocks below for the remainder of the season.
As always, remember to stay safe, and have fun out there.
