1/2" TO 1" NEW SNOW LAST NIGHT
MID MOUNTAIN BASE DEPTH AT LOBO 24.2"
Good morning skiers and snowboarders, this is Mario with your SnoFax report for Thursday, December 12th, 2024. Just a dusting of new snow in the last couple of days and Northwest winds have continued to prevail. Christmas is now less than two weeks away, and what a relief it is to know that we are already going to be able to spread out far more than last year as I am seeing now that Southern Comfort and Shedhorn are scheduled to open. Undoubtedly it is thin at the bottom of these lifts, but a couple more good snowfalls should take care of that.
WIND AND TEMPS: Today's temps are expected to be a little warmer than the last few days, ranging from 18°F to 34°F with mid mountain temps in the 20's. And I don't even want to bother predicting what direction the wind will be blowing as my forecast has predicted a shift from NW to SW for the last 3 days, so let's just say that it'll be gusting to 25mph at the summit.
It should be a beautiful, cold, but not frigid day, and the sun is expected to poke through the clouds this afternoon.
As always, remember to stay safe, and have fun out there.
