5" NEW SNOW LAST 24 HOURS
MORE THAN 20" IN THE LAST WEEK
West/Southwest winds are expected to continue blowing all day long, with more snow mixed in as well. Temps are expected to rise about 10°F compared to yesterday. Other than that we've got another pow day on our hands! It's looking like non stop pow days this week. A few inches during the day, a few inches overnight and things are stacking up beautifully! Just wait and see as the crowds die down slowly in the next few days. We can expect Patrol to be hard at work once again battling all of this new snow, these Westerly winds cross load our South face and Headwaters, making slabs of new and older snow alike.
WIND AND TEMPS: Today's temps are expected to range between 10°F at the summit, and 28°F at the base, with mid mountian temps around 20°F, and winds are expected out of the West/Southwest gusting to 40mph at the summit, and 25mph at mid mountain. All under cloudy snowy skies.
Just navigating around the mountain this year is so much less stressful than last year. You can be confident that the terrain that is open, has a navigable path at the least, and in fact nearly all of it is great skiing. Ski with the end in mind and keep praying for snow as we could have one of the greatest spring seasons with this base.
As always, remember to stay safe, and have fun out there.
