2.5" NEW SNOW OVERNIGHT AT 6AM
MID MOUNTAIN BASE DEPTH 43"
Almost a few fluffy inches have fallen overnight, with more epxected throughout the day today. As of right now, Westerly winds have prevailed, but are expected to give way to Southwesterly winds in the next few hours. With this hopefully we will see more snow, and better wind recycling of our Upper mountain terrain. Temps are going to feel warm compared to the last few days, as long as that wind doesn't start to howl. Skiing everywhere is great, with light fast powder on top of managable bumps at mid mountain and below.
WIND AND TEMPS: Today's temps are expected to range between 21°F at the summit, and 34°F at the base, with mid mountain temps around 25°F, and winds are expected out of the Southwest, gusting to 40mph at the summit, and 20mph at mid mountain.
Avoid the two base areas and you should be able to avoid most of the lines out there today. Time your visits to the base right and you'll zip right through the singles line. It feels hard to share important news with you all, as it all has been so good! Dakota, which is only open Fri-Mon will open for the first time in a few days today, which should be skiing wonderfully. Untouched snow all around the resort is deep, and soft, so be mindful of large obstacles lurking just underneath the surface.
As always, remember to stay safe, and have fun out there.
