NO NEW SNOW 24 HOURS
First time waking up with no new snow since January 2nd, but that doesn't mean much as we've already almost had 4 feet fall this month. NW winds have picked up significantly overnight, likely resetting a lot of our upper mountain terrain, keeping patrol busy this morning. Clouds have returned, and hopefully with them more snow this evening. If you're legs have needed a break from all of this powder and chunder, today is the day to capitalize on great groomer skiing.
WIND AND TEMPS: Today's temperatures are expected to range betweeen 22°F at the summit, and 32°F at the base, with mid mountain temps in the 20's, and winds are expected to trend Westerly, Gusting to 40mph at the summit, and 20mph at mid mountain.
Increasing cloud cover throughout the day today, but temps should feel as warm as the did yesterday, when the sun came out. It looks like more snow through the weekend, and next week might be our first week of sun in almost a month. Keep getting after it while this snow keep stacking up, there's nothing like January Powder in Montana, as the sun stays low, the air stays cold, and the skiing stays soft. A
As always, remember to stay safe, and have fun out there.
