NO NEW SNOW FOR 72 HRS
MID MOUNTAIN BASE DEPTH AT LOBO 68.2"
No new snow for a few days here on Lone Mountain. Sun, warmer temps, and now high winds are changing our snow rapidly. SW winds are gusting over 60mph at the summit this morning, and are expected to continue blowing all day long. Mid mountain temps approached 30°F yesterday, and South Facing slopes were starting to get a little crusty from the sun two days ago. North side slopes like always are going to remain softer and more edgeable. No telling exactly what the weather will do on a day like today when the wind is ripping like this, but it's expected to remain fairly windy for most of this week, so be ready to watch the mountain continue to change, and prepare for some wind holds today.
WIND AND TEMPS: Today's temps should range between 21°F at the summit, and 34°F at the base, with mid mountain temps in the upper 20's, and winds are expected out of the SouthWest, gusting over 60mph at the summit this morning, and hitting 35mph at mid mountain.
If you like mogul skiing, we have got plenty of it right now and they are all quite amazingly sculpted. The trees all around the resort have retained some soft turns as well, and of course the groomers are super carveable. Temps in the mid 30's, fairly steady winds, and sun through this week, it's gonna start feeling a bit like spring skiing around here real fast, that is until the next storm system rolls through.
While it is almost spring skiing, it is definitely spring driving. Pot holes on 191 and Lone Mtn trail are pretty massive right now specifically

Drive safe and don't let a pot hole ruin your ski day!
As always, remember to stay safe, and have fun out there.
