TRACE TO AN INCH OF NEW SNOW OVERNIGHT
Another trace to an inch of new snow has blown in overnight. Steady W/NW winds have held temps in the single digits at the summit and hopefully done some wind buffing of our tram skiing, and temps are in the teens across mid mountain. This fresh coat of snow will continue to help improve our skiing. We are practically healed up from our big melt followed by a deep freeze, and things are warming up down low on the mountain as the day goes on and the sun works it's magic. Great groomer, bump, and chalky steep skiing to be had.
WIND AND TEMPS: Today should be similar to yesterday, with temps ranging from 12°F at the summit, to 32°F at the base by the afternoon, with mid mountain temps in the 20's. Winds are expected to die down a bit, swirling in from the West, gusting to only about 20mph at the summit. High flying clouds are expected to take over by noon.
A bit of a grey day forecasted, but who knows, the sun could beam through those clouds. Another great day to get a lot of vert in, with the only thing stopping you from skiing being your desire. Cooler temps and some snow expected tomorrow, let's pray it turns into a big dump.
As always, remember to stay safe, and have fun out there.
