1-3" IN THE LAST 24 HOURS
Another 1-3" has fallen across the resort in the last 24 hours, with the South Face of the mountain being favored. Winds have been practically dead calm all night, and temps have dropped into the single digits across the resort. It's shaping up to be a truly beautiful ski day out there today, with optimal temps, and yesterdays snowfall being preserved for us overnight.
WIND AND TEMPS: Today's temps should range between 7°F at the summit, and 30°F at the base, with mid mountain temps around 20°F, and winds should remain calm, swirling around gusting to only 15mph at the summt. All under sunny skies by mid morning.
It's gonna start out chilly this morning, but don't throw on too many layers or you'll be roasting by noon. Perfect temps out there today to ski all day long. Groomers are going to be perfect with no new snow overnight. North Facing skiing likely remains the best skiing on the mountain, the snowfield or the Headwaters hike. Beware of crust prevailing down low at places like Southern Comfort, or on your journey back to Madison 8 on the North side. Warm spring skiing through the weekend, but not at the meltdown level we saw last week
As always, remember to stay safe, and have fun out there.
