NO NEW SNOW FOR 5 DAYS
No new snow for 5 days and SW winds have continued howling, and are expcted to do so all day once again, perhaps shifting a bit more Southerly. Looks like potentially some great snow headed our way, similar to most of our snowfall this year, it's going to show up, and turn our mountain into a snowglobe for several days in a row, if not longer. Yesterday, once again, temps climbed just above freezing, and are now in the mid 20's at our middle mountain, so expect a firm and fast morning out there.
WIND AND TEMPS: Today's temps are expected to range between 21°F at the summit, and 37°F at the base, with mid mountain temps climbing above freezing this afternoon. Winds are expected S/SW, gusting to 50mph at the summit, and 25mph at mid mountain, all under mostly sunny skies this morning, gradually getting cloudier this afternoon.
If things do start to soften up down low, keep an eye on that cloud cover as it will cause stuff to get chunky fast. Pray for some big dumps and keep heading to the upper mountain, especially North Facing Slopes, if you're looking for chalk.
As always, remember to stay safe, and have fun out there.
