24 HOUR SNOW 5"
Yesterday's storm delivered nicely, depositing 5" of freshies across the resort. Mid mountain temps have been in the teens for over 24 hours, ensuring that all of this leftover pow is still nice and soft. Winds are steady out of the West/Southwest gusting around 30mph overnight. Lots of great skiing to be had out there once again today, temps are gonna climb a bit higher than they have been the past couple of days, but shouldn't see any melting anywhere besides the base area.
WIND AND TEMPS: Today's temps are expected to range between 12°F at the summit, and 34°F at the base, with mid mountain temps climbing back into the 20's, and steady winds out of the Southwest are expected to continue all day long, growing stronger into the evening, gusting to 40mph at the suummit. All under cloudy, graybird skies.
A little dusting of snow expected tonight into tomorrow, then temps really climb and we begin another serious spring meltdown. Get out there today for possibly one of the last truly wintery days. Look for windbuffed turns on the South Wall, or the East Face of Challenger, or possibly even the Headwaters. Tram skiing should be nice as well, but possibly low viz.
As always, remember to stay safe, and have fun out there.
