NO NEW SNOW, BASE MELT 1"
No new snow to talk about on Lone Mountain, and good news is as far as I could tell from the webcams all night, we didn't get any rain either! On the other hand, temps have dropped nearly 20 degrees since noon yesterday, now below freezing across the mountain, clouds have rolled in and we are looking at some icy conditions. The base area is expected to warm up today, but really mid mountain and up is going to stay frozen solid. There's a chance for snow throughout the day, but we're gonna need a lot more than dust to cover this crust.
WIND AND TEMPS: Today's temps are expected to range between 18°F at the summit, and 41°F at the base, with mid mountian temps around 32°F. Winds are expected out of the Southwest, gusting to 40mph at the summit, all under cloudy snowy skies.
I apologize for the delayed reports as of late, we are experiencing a bit of a sleep regression with the little one, but thankfully, our base won't be regressing any more any time soon, as we have fallen back into wintery temps. Building chances of snow through the weekend and into next week, let's hope we start seeing some great spring time dumps!
As always, remember to stay safe, and have fun out there.
