TRACE OF NEW SNOW OVERNIGHT
Just a very small trace of new snow has fallen across the resort overnight. Temps at mid mountain have dropped 15°F from nearly 40°F yesterday, to the mid 20's currently. Once again, temps are expected to rise throughout the day, but the uppermountain is likely to remain frozen, and the mid mountain will take a long time to thaw out, if it even does. At least these conditions are keeping us from losing our snow, but it would be really nice to see things start stacking up once again. There may yet remain chalky North Facing slopes on the Upper mountain, but for the most part, we're looking at a firm day everywhere.
WIND AND TEMPS: Today's temps are expected to range between 14°F at the summit, and 37°F at the base, with mid mountain temps hovering around 32°F, and winds are expected to calm down a bit, swirling around gusting to only 20mph at the summit.
More snow expected to start flying around noon, and then on and off for a few more days at least. Keep praying for big spring time dumps so we can keep getting that powdery fix as much as possible until April 27th. Use caution on the roads as yesterdays rain down low has now turned to ice. Grab that carving set up, make sure you don't have any loose fillings and get out today for some speedy scraping.
As always, remember to stay safe, and have fun out there.
