1-2" IN LAST 24 HOURS, 2-4" IN LAST 72 HRS
Another year and another season has arrived! I'm still not used to things opening before Thanksgiving, but here we are! 1-2" of some beautiful freshies has fallen overnight favoring the South Side of the resort, which should certainly help take the edge off this morning! The resort is claiming RAMCHARGER terrain to start, with beginner terrain and MR.K to open "through the weekend". Who knows, maybe if the snow keeps up we could be in for a pleasant surprise!
You're probably safe from rocks on any of the beaten path down andesite, but caution is definitely advised when it comes time to open MR.K. Snowmaking has done an AMAZING job, but there's just no getting around how much surface area there is to cover all the way down MR.K.
Today's temps are currently hovering in the upper teens at our singular operating weather station, the Lone Mountain SNOTEL. This weather is swirling in from the West by SouthWest, and flurries are expected to continue, until about noon, but let's just hope they stick around all day long! Dress for wintery conditions!
I hope you're excited for a great opening day. Ski safe and with the end of the season in mind.
