NO NEW SNOW FOR 72 HRS
No new snow or runs to report on for the last few days, but thankfully temps have been perfect for continued snow blasting all around. Still just a couple strips of groomer off of Rammy and Swifty. Winds have been calm for our skiing thus far, but there's a chance that could change this afternoon.
Today's temps are expected to range between 15°F and 26°F, with winds steadily blowing out of the Southwest, gusting to about 15mph at the top of Swifty all day, and then a chance to really start howling in the late afternoon. Clouds will be high in the sky most of the day,so really snow could start falling whenever it feels like it, so pray for a surprise dump!
The cycle has begun on Lone Mountain. Friday's Northwest storm brought cold, slow moving snow, and now we are gearing up for a faster moving, Southwest system to bring us our next layer of fun. This forecast is calling for more snowfall than our last, but it can be hard to tell what's going to happen with a Southwest storm, as there are many more mountains for them to get hung up on, on their way here. Fingers crossed we get a solid few inches out of this one tonight. Cold smoke is great, but something with a little more density to start beefing up our base would also be very appreciated.
As always, remember to stay safe, and have fun out there.
