1-2" of snow in last 24 hours
About 1 to 2 inches of snow in the last 24 hours, but as the story goes here in Big Sky, the wind is where the magic happens. Southwest winds gusting over 50mph overnight are sure to have buffed out more of our upper mountain terrain, and it's all about finding it's path through the skree. The Bowl is sure to be buffed, perhaps portions of the South Face off the Tram, it's always worth checking out the headwaters. Conditions continue to improve, coverage is great, we just need more and more dumpage to start creating some epic lines.
Today's weather will consist of more windy storm skiing, with temps ranging between 14°F at the summit, and 30°F at the base, with winds continuing to howl out of the Southwst. Let's hope it snows all day long!
I apologize for going AWOL , late nights at work and early mornings with kids have had me drained. Outside of my family, on this earth, skiing is my greatest passion, and I have faith that it will continue to do great things in the life of my family to come. I hope you all had a great Christmas and New Year, and I hope you're ready for things to ramp up as my gut tells me we are still in for a great season. Thankyou all for your continued support and love.
