Flurries fell most of the day yesterday, likely depositing an inch or so across the resort, but the wind remains to be the biggest game changer. Yesterday's 1-2 inches was more like 3 to 4 in places favored by these SouthWest winds. More East facing aspects like Rice Bowl, Gun Mount, Big Rock Tongue, along with sheltered strips of the South Face have been most blessed by these winds, and they've only continued over night. Lower mountain remains slightly crusty underneath.
Today's temps are expected to be very similar to yesterday, ranging between 13°F at the summit, and 31°F at the base, with winds continuing to gust to 50mph+ out of the Southwest. All under cloudy snowy skies.
The crowds have died down for the time being, snow is hitting a bit more of the US, but everyone here is very stoked on the conditions. Plenty of pow to be found here on the upper mountain if you know where to look, and plenty of lower mountain coverage to help spread people out. The next couple of days are looking promising, as our weather begins to shift with colder, slower moving snow from the Northwest getting ready to settle in over the mountain.
